Registration is open for the 2024-25 Waterville Central School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program. The district will be applying for a waiver to run its own program. The teachers for the four-year old classrooms will be Mrs. Olmstead and Ms. Curtis, long-time Memorial Park School (MPS) Kindergarten teachers.
Children who will be four years old by Dec. 1, 2024 and live in the Waterville Central School District are eligible to register.
For all students eligible for UPK, parents/guardians, please email Mary Blunt, mblunt@watervillecsd.org. She will send you the enrollment forms. You can then return the enrollment papers to the MPS office with:
- a copy of your child’s most recent immunization record
- proof of residency, and
- a copy of your child’s birth certificate
The forms and papers can be returned via email (mblunt@watervillecsd.org), fax (315) 841-3718, or mail: Mary Blunt, Memorial Park Elementary, 145 East Bacon Street, Waterville, NY 13480.
The district is also offering two opportunities for UPK students this summer. “Go for the Gold” summer camp will run from July 8-July 25 at MPS, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. (Mondays-Thursdays). Parents who enroll their children in this program must self-transport.
UPK 1,2,3 Boot Camp will be held on August 26, 27 and 28 from 9-11 a.m. to prepare students for the school year. Transportation will be available for four-year-olds and above.
If you are interested in signing your child up for either or both of these programs, you must first register for UPK.
If you have any questions/concerns, please contact the MPS office at 315-841-3782. If you have any questions regarding immunizations, please contact our school nurse, Tessa Mathias at 315-841-3743.
UPK screening will take place on August 26, 27, and 28 following the 1,2,3 Boot Camp.
