Preventative dental services in Waterville Central School District to be provided by Mosaic Health

A purple and yellow "W" logo sits over a graphic that says "Mosaic Health Community Dentistry" with a purple background.

The Waterville Central School District has partnered with Mosaic Health to bring preventative dental services for students enrolled in the district.

The district received approval for the program from the New York State Department of Health earlier this school year. This service comes at no cost to the school district, which provides Mosaic Health with a space to set up their portable equipment and work.

Mosaic Health will be at MPS on March 27 to set up equipment and begin services.

Once the program is implemented at MPS, Mosaic Health will do the same at Waterville Jr./Sr. High School, including sending out registration packets to families. A date to start at the Jr./Sr. High School has not been determined.

Services will be provided on site during the school day.  Services being provided include dental screenings, oral exam by a dentist, dental cleanings, checkup x-rays, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, oral health education and referrals if needed.

Students who enroll in the program will receive a free dental screening, toothbrush, toothpaste and floss.

If parents have any questions about the registration process or service, they are asked to call Mosaic Health at 315-570-4020.

Most dental insurances are accepted including Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care. Mosaic Health also offers a Sliding Fee Discount based on family size and income. Reach out at the number above for more information. No child is turned away due to lack of ability to pay.
