Nine Waterville Jr./Sr. High School students recently participated in the District 5 Junior High Future Farmers of America (FFA) Leadership event hosted by Stockbridge Valley FFA. The event, held Saturday, Dec. 7, brought together young agricultural leaders from across Central New York.

During the event, students engaged in workshops on trust, developing leadership skills, and goal setting. Students also participated in hands-on activities to develop their skills, network with peers, and ignite their passion for agriculture.

“These students represent the future of the agriculture industry, and their participation in this event highlights their commitment to learning and leading,” said Cindy Gallagher, Waterville agricultural science teacher. “They have gained valuable tools to make a difference in our community.”

Students who attended included: Derek Becker, Tiffany Carpenter,  Lillian Humphrey, Madison Judson, Darma Lubey, Bradyn Spooner, Kathleen Stronach, Caden Treen and Kadence Twiss.
