The top-seeded Waterville Eagles boys basketball team won the Section III Class C title on Friday, March 1, with an 69-59 win over No. 2 Hamilton.
The game was played at Onondaga Community College.
Jackson Ruane led the Eagles with 26 points while also adding eight assists, two rebounds and four steals.
Kane Patterson was the leading rebounder for Waterville with 11 while scoring six points.
Hayden Dumas scored nine points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out seven assists.
With the win, Waterville then lost in the regional finals against Moravia, out of Section IV on March 9.
